Council held a consultative meeting with Huduma Kenya Secretariat to explore potential areas of collaboration. This is as it seeks to ease access to its services for persons with disabilities.
Executive Director Harun Hassan and Huduma Ag. CEO Mugambi Njeru agreed to formalise a partnership which will among others onboard the registration process for persons with disabilities into the Huduma platform. The Council has an aspiration to make self-registration for persons with disabilities a reality, provided they have the requisite documentation. The partnership will also seek to realize faster distribution of disability cards to persons with disabilities in the counties through the already established Huduma Mashinani Outreaches, as well as disability sensitization for Huduma Staff.
