INUA JAMII CASH TRANSFER BENEFICIARIES’ PAYMENT FOR MARCH-APRIL AND MAY-JUNE 2021 PAYMENT CYCLES

 

The Government of Kenya has released Kshs. 276,288,000 for payment to beneficiaries enrolled in the Persons with Severe Disabilities Cash Transfer (PWSD CT) Programme under the Inua Jamii Programme. A total of 34,536 beneficiaries will each be paid Kshs 8,000 being payment for March-April and May-June 2021 payment cycles. In addition, 246 Persons with severe disabilities registered in the NICHE programme in Kitui, Kilifi, Marsabit, Turkana and West Pokot counties will also be paid during the period.

 

The funds will be paid to the beneficiaries starting from Monday 12th July 2021 through the four contracted Payment Service Providers namely: Cooperative Bank, Equity Bank, KCB Bank and Post bank.

 

Beneficiaries are advised to avoid crowding at the payments points in line with the Covid 19 protocols. The four banks have been prepared thoroughly to ensure they maintain the Ministry of Health protocols while paying the Inua Jamii beneficiaries. These protocols include regular handwashing, use of sanitizers, social distancing and wearing of face masks.

 

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is working closely with the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government to ensure that all the health protocols are strictly adhered to.
