NCPWD Career Portal launched 9th December 2020

The Council launched the NCPWD Career Portal.The NCPWD Career Portal is a component of the wider project on Innovation to Inclusion (i2i).

The main aim of this portal is to address barriers to employment for persons with disabilities within the public and private sector through registration of qualified candidates inform of a database to link them to potential employers.

This platform will ensure women and men with disabilities are actively engaged and retained in meaningful private/public sector employment by developing, testing, validating, and sharing learnings from interventions that aim to directly improve access to waged employment.

This portal will provide a good bond between employers and persons with disabilities also aims at building the skills and knowledge of persons with disabilities to make them employable.

The launch of the portal is a great milestone in opening up opportunities for persons with disabilities to engage with the employers.

This project will be implemented by a consortium of partners who include National Council for Persons with disabilities, Leonard Cheshire, CBM, Plan International-Kenya, Action Network of the Disabled of Kenya, International Labour Organization, Global Disability Innovation Hub, European Disability Forum and World Bank. The consortium has been supported by Federation of Kenyan Employers, other implementing partners including Disabled Persons Organizations,private companies and other relevant government agencies.
