The Senate has sent an invitation for public participation and submission of memoranda on a number of Bills that have passed the 1st reading in the Senate and committed to the respective standing committees.
Among the Bills include the Persons with Disabilities(Amendment) Bill (Senate Bill No. 29 of 2020)
Persons with disabilities and the public at large are encouraged to submit their memoranda to respective Standing Committees. For the Persons with Disabilities Amendment Bill, you can send your memoranda to the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare. However, as a stakeholder you can also submit your memoranda on the other Bills to the respective committees. The invitation to submit the memoranda is attached.
The deadline for submission of the Memoranda is 31st March 2021.
