Huduma Kenya Meets NCPWD

The Council held a consultative meeting with the Huduma Kenya Secretariat led by Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Kai Chilumo to firm up engagements in the lead-up to signing a formal partnership on easing access to services for persons with disabilities.

The Council has been engaging Huduma Kenya to identify ways of promoting inclusive service delivery at all Huduma Centres across the country. Already, the Council has generated Huduma Kenya service charters in braille, trained officers on sign language and also carried out disability mainstreaming training among its customer care staff.
Executive Director Harun Hassan noted that the partnership with Huduma Kenya will go a long way in particularly easing access to registration even as the Council finalizes its digitization plan in line with the directive by His Excellency the President as earlier communicated to the public.

This will make it way easier for persons with disabilities across the country to access Huduma Centers and undergo self-registration, particularly through the 𝘏𝘶𝘥𝘶𝘮𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘪 programme. The collaboration will be signed early next month.
Also in attendance was Mr. Mugambi Njeru – Huduma Kenya Director of Service Delivery.
