DIARAWARDS GALA DINNER

The Council joined other stakeholders for the fourth edition of the National Diversity and Inclusion Awards and Recognition (DIAR) Gala Dinner and Award Ceremony.

The event and award ceremony, organized by Daima Trust, and themed ‘Celebrating champions of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion – Turning our Differences into Strengths’, celebrated individuals and institutions who are championing the course of diversity and inclusion in different sectors.

Other partners present were the National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya, National Cohesion and Integration Commission, Kenya Pipeline Company, CBM, Stima Sacco, Kenya Revenue Authority, Coca Cola, among others.

The Council, led by Chairperson Peter Muchiri and Executive Director Harun Hassan, called for persuasive advocacy as an effective tool to change the hearts and minds of the general public on matters inclusion.

The NCPWD Career-Portal, coordinated by the Innovation-to-Inclusion Project, won Innovative and Inclusive Deployment of Technology Award.

Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Secretary for Health Dr. Mercy Mwangangi, KPC Chairperson Rita Okuthe and NCIC Chairperson Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia.
